Vienna Declaration

There is a ground-breaking initiative happening right now that directly impacts the international medical cannabis community. Leading international scientists are calling for the end of the war on drugs and the beginning of drug policy based on science and human rights. On July 18th, they are bringing the Vienna Declaration to the International AIDS Conference – this is the biggest public health conference in the world. They are currently conducing a signature drive to get as many as 50,000 physicians and scientists as well as the general public to sign it.
The medical cannabis community is well-positioned to support this initiative through its patients, employees, volunteers, and supporting health care practitioners – as well as endorsing it as an organization. I urge you to do what you can to help this initiative make as huge an impact as possible. Post copies for your patients to read, have computers available for them to sign on-line, send emails to your contacts, post it on your facebook pages.
This initiative will go a long way towards creating saner and more compassionate medical cannabis policies around the world.
