Jack Needs Our Good Loving

A kind and humorous man, Jack Herer is truly a living legend. A false rumor of his death circulating this morning brought me to tears and lead me to reflecting on how far Jack has carried this movement. He wrote his first cannabis based book in 1973 and the iconic “The Emperor Wears No Clothes” was first published in 1985. It has since sold more than 600,000 copies and it still the most comprehensive summary of cannabis and prohibition literature to date. I had the pleasure of meeting this gentle giant at Hempfest Seattle 2009. He demonstrated a persistence and dedication to this movement that stood out in a crowd of 1/4 million people. He need our good vibrations right now, so grab his book and spark the next one for Jack.
