President, Victoria’s Hempology 101 Society

After two attempts to conclude the Annual General Meeting, we have finally been able to legally file our financial statements and elect a board of directors. On Weds Dec 12, 2001, right after a regular weekly meeting, we gathered at Ted’s Books to finish the legal responsibilities of the non-profit society.

The first step was accepting the Balance Sheet and Income Statements of the years 2000 and 2001, as we were actually one year behind in our filing at the registry. Once we finished looking at the financial situation, we started the discussion about positions on the board.

The legal responsibilities of board members of Victoria’s Hempology 101 Society are fairly light, as the society has few monetary obligations, and people can help with all sorts of things with Hempology 101 without being on the board or even joining the society. However, those who join the board of directors are considered to be ambassadors of the group and should be some of the most driven and resourceful people around.

We are very grateful to all past members of the board for all their time and effort. There were so many interested in joining the board, that for the first time ever we needed to have an election to determine who the 9 people would be. Thanx again to everyone who came to help with the election and especially those who were willing to be board members but for whom there was not enough room.

The new board of directors for Victoria’s Hempology 101 Society are:

We look forward to the next year with this crew at the control booth.
