It is rather a mind altering experience to watch an organization that you
believe in almost dissolve before your eyes. That could be happening here.
But I doubt that. When the police removed thousands of dollars of medicine
(cannabis) and walked out the door all it did was strengthen the resolve of
myself and others to keep going. To forge ahead. Not by “breaking the law”
but forcing the government into a position to regulate. We are not
criminals. I am proud to say that I have never broken a law. But, this law
is wrong and must be changed.

When people suffer needlessly because they cannot get their medicine, that
is a criminal act. That is the criminal act that needs to change.

In the four and a half years that I have been involved in the CBCoC I have
always been impressed by it’s honesty and integrity. The club is very much a
strong, caring group of not only Ted, but eight-hundred and thirty
chronically and terminally ill members.

We are determined to see this continue to evolve into an organization to be
proud of. Where we will be there to help in any way we can. To encourage
each other to heal, to reach out to others, and to change this law. We don’t
want to break laws – we want to help make them.
