Snoop Dog Pleads Not Guilty On Weapons Charge

Santa Ana, Cali (eCanadaNow) – Rapper Snoop Dogg pleaded not guilty on Wednesday to a charge of possessing a deadly weapon.

The deadly weapon in question was a collapsible police baton, which was found in his luggage at an airport.

The rapper did not attend the arraignment as his lawyer entered the not guilty plea for him in the Orange County Superior Court and remains free on bail set at $150,000.

He could face up to 3 years in prison if he is convicted on the charge.

Snoop Dogg was charged after a security screener at John Wayne Airport noticed the baton in his computer bag on September 27th. Snoop stated that the baton was a prop for a video he was going to film in New York. No charges have been filed against the rapper linking him to two other arrests in Burbank in October and November. The October 26th incident involves a possession of a gun and transportation of marijuana and the November 28th incident includes the illegal possession of a firearm, cocaine, marijuana and a false compartment in his vehicle.
