Canada’s Marijuana Party leader in court next week

By Hempology | June 11, 2002

Marc-Boris St. Maurice will be at the Palais Du Justice (205 Rue Montmagny) in Quebec City this Friday, answering to the charge of Trafficking in Marijuana.

The Montreal Compassion Club provides high quality herb to sick people with doctors’ notes. On February 10, 2000, Montreal police busted the club. They arrested two volunteers: Marc-Boris St-Maurice, head of the federal Marijuana Party, and Alexandre Neron, who works as a helper for disabled university students. Patients were left to buy their pot on the street. The trial was originally scheduled for October 2001. The judge bumped it to December, and then bumped it thrice more, without much in the way of explanation. In the meantime, the club is under constant surveillance.
