Flip-Flop over Flin Flon

Knowing this morning that my task was to “infiltrate” David Anderson’s office I pulled out
a conservative dress and threw on my “Inspector Ganja” coat. I wanted to make sure that I made
it in the front door at least. I was greeted by a young woman with a friendly smile in a warm
and comfortable office. I made an inquiry how I would be able to speak to David Anderson in
person. I was escorted by Mr. Anderson’s assistant to her office.

I noticed how quickly her
smile changed when she asked me what I wished to communicate with David Anderson about. I guess
medical marijuana is not one of her favourite subjects. My first questions pertained to the
Private Members Bill put forth by Dr. Keith Martin. I expressed by shock and displeasure at
the Liberals burying it under a mound of bureaucratic

red tape. Do we really need another
committee to study the affects from cannabis? Even the senate report answers all the basics
for them.

Speaking of the Senate Report on Cannabis, his assistant was unaware if Mr. Anderson had even
read the senate report and refused to accept any copies of it. Perhaps the Queen’s stamp of
approval holds no weight in Federal Politics.

Whether David Anderson voted against the private members bill , his assistant could
not give me a straight answer on his vote. Not only could she not tell me if he voted
the bill down or even if he was present in Parliament that day. You would think that
his assistant should be aware of these facts. Hopefully Mr. Anderson will be able to respond.

My next inquiries pertained to what plans the Liberal Government had for medical marijuana.
What exactly did they have in mind for the individuals who have chosen to use cannabis
for their chronic illnesses? What about Flin-Flon ? Does the Liberal Government really
expect people to continue suffering why they dig in their heals allowing prosecution
of the ill? Apparently so.

Hopefully we will be able to see David Anderson in September as the assistant suggested. He has
some explaining to do.
