Victoria, B.C.: At the Annual General Meeting last Thursday, former president
and head consultant, Leon “Ted” Smith, put a motion forward changing the organization’s
name to the International Hempology 101 Society.

Many signs indicate that Hempology 101 is expanding across the planet, with the web-page
leading the way. With an average of 3,500 hits a day, over 100,000 per month, we are
educating people around the world every hour. Hempology 101 Meetings have occurred in
Duncan, B.C. and Seattle, Washington in the past, after starting in Vancouver, B.C.
Interest to start gatherings is being shown in Ontario, with others expected to pop
up everywhere across the continent.

After the financial statements were accepted, the vote for the board of directors was
taken. We welcome Ryan Schakohl and Jim Davy to the existing board, which includes
Tyler MacDonald, Christian Bell, Marie Christofferson, Ryan Bushby, Colby Budda,
Lee Morrison and Odin Lake. The executive will be chosen at the first meeting on September 3rd.

An excellent speech by Dr. James Geiwitz was not witnessed by a large group, but will
certainly be read by thousands over the web-page. His work will also be used as a basis
for his speech at the 2003 St. Patrick’s Day Cannabis Convention. Thanks to everyone who
helped with the meeting, especially Dr. Geiwitz, and good luck to the new board.
