Police Find Pounds Of Marijuana At Bus Station.

For the second time in a week, Texarkana, Ark., Police have found marijuana in a Greyhound Bus passing through Texarkana.

Kevin Michael Evans, 27, of Huntsville, Ala., was arrested on a felony charge of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver after more than four pounds of marijuana was found in his travel bag.

Evans is being held in the Bi-State Justice Building jail. His bail had not been set as of late Thursday, said Cpl. Bart Veal, spokesman for the Texarkana, Ark., Police Department.

Officer John Gibbert and his K-9 partner Oran were working narcotics interdiction about noon Wednesday at the bus station on East 51st Street when the pair found the marijuana on the bus traveling form Arizona to Alabama, Veal said.

The drugs have a street value of about $4,500.

Earlier this week, police found marijuana on a Greyhound bus but no arrests were made.
